Photo Diary #3 Amazon Rainforest
A Collection of Images From The Amazon Rainforest
I’ve been seeing lots of new subscribers lately. If you’re new here, I’m Lucy — a photographer sharing stories from all over the world through images and writing.
The Amazon Rainforest is huge… I was only able to spend 5 days in one tiny section. This is a visual diary of my experience.
Like usual, there’s a much longer story behind these images. Soon, I’ll share more text-based post about why I was there, the people I met, and what happened along the way. But for now, please enjoy this collection of moments from the trip. :)

Daily life along the river photographed as we slowly explored with a canoe.
This kid kept climbing the whole way to the top of this huge tree and then jumped into the river! He was truly fearless.
It was really difficult to photograph this morning; the humidity was extremely high and my camera lens was fogging up almost instantly.
We hiked into this spot in the night and slept (barely) in hammocks.
A small selection of images from these blogs are available as prints in my shop for those wanting to support my work and collect a photograph from the trip.

The government recently funded a school for this area, the construction feels out of place with everything else around being wooden structures. The community also gained access to electricity for the first time when the school was built, as a generator was installed. The generator works for a few hours each day and shuts off every day at 10 pm. The community each contributes money to pay for petrol to fuel the generator.
Thanks for following along :)
Lots of Love, Lucy
